Winter Hare

The intense, inquisitive gaze of this stunning hare was there for just an instant. His velvety snow scattered fur was sat in an ever so slight hunched poise against the vast flat Norfolk winter landscape, ready to gallop off at a moments notice, over the winter fields to the safety of the hedge line.

Hare's as a subject matter were an instant draw to me as they are a regular sight on the vast flat fields that surround me in Norfolk. It is such a great feeling to know that I am still able to see plentiful numbers of these magnificent, sculptural creatures on my country walks.
