Resplendent and vibrant, this proud pheasant looks up, always alert to his surroundings. Using large, fluid brush strokes in the background to hint at a wintery sky I wanted to portray this magnificent and quintessentially British game bird in all his glory, capturing all his vibrant jewel toned feathers combined with his autumnal and rustic hues that camouflage him so well when needed.
